Friday the 13th: Hundreds of Knights Templar Arrested Simultaneously

Philip IV of France ordered the arrest of every Templar knight in the country at dawn. The operation was coordinated by sealed letters opened simultaneously across France. Hundreds were seized. They were tortured until they confessed to heresy, spitting on the cross, worshipping a cat. Philip owed the Templars enormous sums. By Friday the 13th, the debt was solved. The confessions were extracted with fire.
