Met Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo at school. They formed an indie rock trio called Darlin'. A British music critic dismissed them as "daft punky trash." They liked the name. Daft Punk was born.

1997 Event

Daft Punk released Homework. "Around the World" and "Da Funk" made them global stars. They wore masks, then robot helmets, refusing to show their faces. The anonymity became the brand.

2013 Event
